Vouchers are a great way to bring in upfront cash and give your regulars an easy way to gift (and advertise) your amazing venue to others. They work beautifully for celebrations, work shout-outs, or simply spreading the love.
With Bustle, you can create vouchers, sell them online, and customers can redeem them either online or on your Bustle till.
Key Points
Sell vouchers online using your shareable voucher link, or directly from your online menu.
Customers can redeem vouchers online at checkout, or in-store on the till (needs Bustle Till version 6.4.0 or greater)
Offer fixed-value vouchers (e.g., $25, $50, $100), allow custom voucher values, or make them shine with custom wording and/or discounted pricing.
Your voucher page uses your online menu branding for a polished, on-brand look.
Before You Start
You’ll need:
Branding set up - uses Online Menu setup (logo + brand colours)
BustlePay set up and enabled for payments.
Note: You don’t need your Online Menu to be live in order to sell vouchers - but if you do have Online Ordering active, voucher redemption becomes smoother and much more visible to customers.
Prefer to watch the setup instead?
If you’d rather see the full voucher setup flow in action, this video guide walks through the process from start to finish. You can watch it first, and/or follow the written steps below as you go.
Detailed Steps
Step 1 - Open the Voucher Setup Page
In the Bustle Hub, go to: Bustle Online → Orders & Payments → Voucher Setup
Toggle Enable Voucher Sales to ON.
This activates your voucher page and voucher purchase link. Note: the link contains your "Trading As" name from your company settings. If you change your Trading As name, your link will change.
Step 2 - Allow Customer-Entered Voucher Amounts (Optional)
If you’d like customers to choose their own voucher value, turn on:
Enable Custom Amount Vouchers
Then set:
Minimum Voucher Amount (must be $20 or higher)
Maximum Voucher Amount (Max $1000)
If you want to offer only fixed voucher amounts that you control, leave this off.
Step 3 - Add the Vouchers You Want to Sell
Click Add Voucher to Page.
You can choose between:
Standard Voucher
You set:
Voucher Value (e.g., $50) which matches the price.
Custom / Named Voucher
For experiences or gift-style options.
You set:
Voucher Name (e.g., Mothers Day Treat)
Value (how much it’s worth)
Price (how much the customer pays)
Optional Description (helps customers choose confidently or ramps up the vibe)
Step 4 - Sync menu
All ready to rock vouchers? Make sure your Bustle Tills are updated to version 6.4.0 or greater and give that menu a sync! Settings > Sync menu
Step 5 - Preview & Share Your Voucher Link
Your voucher page link is shown in the Voucher Setup screen.
Share this link:
On Instagram and other socials (in your bio or stories)
On your website
In your email signature
On posters or table talkers inside your café (make sure you use the QR code link if you are making your own QR codes)
If you also use Bustle Online Ordering, customers will see an option to purchase vouchers.
Your vouchers purchase page will appear as below (with your logo and branding)
Redemption (Quick Overview)
Customers can redeem vouchers:
