Detailed Steps
Set up and locate your items
To access the Bulk Item Updater, head to your Item Editor on the Bustle hub Setup > Item Editor and press the Bulk Item Updater button.
If you are looking to update items across multiple sites, choose the venues to update in the Select Venues dropdown and give the page a few moments to load them.
If you are only updating the one venue you can leave this field blank.
Display the items you want to update by using the search and category filter fields.
Update your items
Once located you can update the displayed fields. In this case we have two venues and we want to change the price and add a subcategory for the flat white.
Note the following:
Make the changes you need on the row and press one of the Save button options. In this case the Flat White will be updated to $5.50 and added to the new subcategory across the two venues.
To split out the Items and edit them separately, press the Edit Individually button.
This breaks them out so you can make changes to each using the same process as above. To merge them again you can press the Edit Together button.
If there are any differences between two items using the same Link Code, they will appear together but on different rows. The differences will be outlined in our pink icing colour.
Should you want to separate the items altogether, you can change one of the Link codes and save the item. This will separate them out over two separate link codes. The opposite is true if you want to join them together - simply give them the same link code and refresh.
To delete an item, or items across multiple venues, select the checkbox and press the Delete button. Note: This is not reversible and will remove these items from menus and the item editor.
Troubleshooting
Make sure you give enough time to load all your venues into the Updater tool. There is a notification at the bottom of the screen advising the number of venues still to be loaded.
If you see a red border around a field it is a required field that will been to be completed if you wish to make changes.
