The Item Countdowns feature in Bustle Online allows you to set limits on specific items, ensuring customers are informed when an item is sold out or if there are only a few remaining. Here's how to set it up and manage it effectively:

Detailed Steps
Getting Set Up
Press one of the New Count buttons to get started.
Browse the categories or search for the item you want to set up a countdown for, and click to select.
Enter the available quantity (Starting Count) for the item.
Choose between a one-time limit or a daily refresh:
One-Time: The countdown continues until the item is sold out, then makes ordering unavailable.
Refresh Daily: The count resets daily to the specified quantity.
Decide whether the countdown starts immediately or on the following day.
In this case we have 12 Zucchini Slices available every day, starting today. The day is based on your reporting times in Settings > Company Settings.
How it works from here
The Item Countdowns screen on the Bustle Hub is split into two sections: The Live Countdown of your items at the top and any counts you have scheduled for tomorrow below - Tomorrow's Counts.
When an item is added to a tab or table, paid for in a quick sale, or ordered in Bustle Online, your count will be adjusted accordingly.
In this case, we have sold three Zucchini Slices at the Till and one through Bustle Online, leaving 8 remaining from the original 12.
Please note: One-Time counts will appear in the Tomorrow's Counts section until sold out, or removed.

How countdowns appear on your menu for Bustle Online
In your Bustle Online menu, the live count will appear for any Items a count has been added for.
When sold out, the item will grey out and can no longer be ordered.
How countdowns appear on your menu for the Bustle Till
IMPORTANT: Make sure you are on the latest version of Bustle Till (was added in version 6.2.1). Upgrade and then Sync menu on your tills.
When a countdown has been added, it will automatically save to the Bustle Till (no need to sync menu) Any action on the till such as placing an order or even switching between pages will refresh the countdowns.
An item with a countdown will appear with a small indicator in the bottom right. Here we have added countdowns for Zucc Slice and Rasp Muffin.
When you press the button you will see how many of the item are left to sell.
Once sold out, the item will grey out.
At this point customers will not be able to order it online but your team at the till can override this manually by pressing the Item button and then pressing the Sold Out button.
They will be then prompted to override the sold out state and sell the item. Press Sell to continue with the sale.
Editing, Selling Out and Deleting Live Counts
You can edit and delete counts in both the Live Countdown and Tomorrow's Counts areas.
To edit or delete a live count, locate the item and press the Edit Count button.
To edit the count, change the Current count number to what you currently have in stock. To delete the count for the day, press the Delete button.
Note that anything you do here only applies for the current live count. You may also need to check and edit tomorrow's count further down the page.
To Sell Out an item, press the Sell Out Now button.
This will immediately set the live count to zero and mark the item as "Sold Out" on your Bustle Online menu, ensuring customers and team know it's no longer available.
Editing and Deleting Tomorrow's Counts
To stop a count from continuing on the next day, head to the Tomorrow's Counts section and press the Remove Count button, or to edit the count for the next day going forward, press Edit Count.
Enter in the new count if needed, check the Flow is selected correctly and press Save.
Troubleshooting / FAQ
Make sure you are on the latest version of Bustle Till (was added in version 6.2.1)
If your Live Count is incorrect, simply edit the Live Count to the right number.
If in doubt, delete the count: If you have any issues or your not sure if a change you made is correct - it's super simple to fix. Delete your counts and set them up new. It only takes a few seconds and you're back on track.
Please note that Voiding or Refunding an item will add it back into the count.
If your count is incorrect due to the above it's an easy fix. All you need to do is record the item as Wastage and not only is your count correct again, but your wastage report and stock reporting will be correct.
Someone has ordered an item but it was just sold out - There is still a very small chance that this can happen by two people ordering and paying for the last slice at the exact same moment. We’ve done everything possible to make the system foolproof, but in the rare event this happens, we trust you’ll handle it in your signature, gracious style. 💪
