That's great news, congratulations on the sale!
There are two options to transfer your Bustle Setup to a new owner.
Option 1 – Recommended: Transfer setup to a new owner
The new owner creates their own Bustle account. We copy the menu if needed, onboard the new owner, and you switch the iPads over on changeover day. This option ensures:
Clear ownership from day one
Correct billing and GST records
Cleaner long-term support and reporting
No messy switchovers of third party integrations (such as Stripe accounts for Regulr or Bustle Online).
Option 2 – Not recommended: hand over your existing account
The existing Bustle account is passed on to the new owner. This can work, but it isn’t the cleanest option. We recommend this only when setting up a new account isn’t practical and everyone understands the trade-offs. Still keen to do this?
Here's what's needed...
If you're going with Option 1, perfect! Continue with the process below.
Step 1: Connect the new owner to the Bustle Team
To keep things smooth, please introduce us to the new owner and share their name, phone number, and email address. We'll reach out with a hearty welcome and get them rolling.
Step 2: The new owners create a new Bustle account
The new owners create their own Bustle account by clicking the Get Started for free link from the Bustle Website. From there, we will help guide them to:
Build a new menu from scratch, or with your permission, copy your existing menu into the new account
Set up their company and receipt settings
Create their Bustle Online menu, Regulr (if used) and get the BustlePay accounts set up.
👉 Important:
Menu copies require your explicit approval and must be done before any items are created in the new account.
Details on what is (and isn’t) copied are at the end of this article.
Step 2: Handover day & switching the accounts on the iPads
For you, the Current/Previous Owner
If you are handing over the iPads to the new owner:
Make sure your iPads are still compatible with Bustle Till. If they are not, new iPads will need to be purchased.
Delete the Bustle app from your iPad/s
Decide if are you handing over the Apple ID or will the new customer be changing to a new Apple ID? (changing the Apple ID without access to the original linked email address is very difficult)
If changing the ID, get them to do so now - Change Apple ID
If your Bustle Account has Regulr as an add-on or if it uses Bustle Online, you must let our team know (ideally before handover). The handover of these can be a bit tricky, as they are linked to Stripe.
For the New Owner
Download the latest Bustle Till app from the app store on all iPads.
Log in with your new Bustle account to each device (If you have more than one iPad, make sure you have created them all on the hub first -Add a new Device)
Once logged in to your tills - Search for and set up your printers adding in the menu sections you want to print orders to.
Set up any pre-defined tabs or table layouts if you use them.
Set up your Emoji Staff Logins if used.
Set up and connect to your payment terminal if integration is used.
All good? Go and have your favourite beverage cos you're done here!
Get stuck? Reach out to the team on support for a hand.
Step 3: Cancel your Bustle account
After you cancel your account, you will still have full access until the end of your current billing period, giving you time to export any necessary sales data, or go on hold for a small monthly fee to keep access.
How to cancel your account
1) log into your Bustle account (Bustle Hub) using a desktop browser like Chrome or Safari
2) Go to Settings (Top right corner drop-down)
3) Select Subscription
4) Select 'Request to Cancel'
Follow the 3-4 questions from there until completion. Once you have completed these steps, the cancellation process will be actioned within 3 business days.
What happens after you reach out to Bustle about the sale?

Our Sales team will be in touch to assist with any initial questions
