Let's go through the 4 easy steps to get set up and taking orders and payments online!
Step 1 - Get your amazing menu looking great online

Step 2 - Get your Bustle Pay account setup
You will need to sign up your venue to a Bustle Pay Stripe Account so your online payments can be processed. It's a quick process that's completed on your Bustle Hub, but make sure you have your bank account details, NZBN/ABN/CRN and some ID ready.
Head to Bustle Online > Get Payments and Orders
Press Set up Bustle Pay now
This will take you through the guided process to get your Bustle Pay account set up with our payment partner, Stripe, so we can start sending you the $$$ for your online sales.
Step 3 - Set up Bustle Online to suit your needs
Once you have completed the Bustle Pay account process you have a few easy choices to make.
There are 4 selections to choose from. Let's break them down...
Online Ordering
By switching the online ordering toggles on you go from having an online menu to an online ordering system that takes payment and sends orders to your printers. Either allow simple ordering, needing only a name (ideal for takeaways), or switch on table service so your pre-defined tabs or tables appear and can be selected for dine in.
TablePay
By switching these toggles on, your staff can offer an online tab to your seated customers, by printing out a QR code and handing it to them. They can pay via this code or pay as usual at the counter, or a combination of both. You can also decide whether you want your staff to manage all further orders, or if you want to allow them to order from your online menu and add to their tab (without a credit card added)
Step 4 - Set Up iPad and Printers
Ensure smooth order management with the following setup:
Assign an iPad: Choose your most active iPad to manage orders (keep it awake during service).
Set First Online Order Number: This will be the starting order number each day for online orders. Leaving it at 10000 should be fine for most setups but if you do want to change it, make sure you don't set it the same starting number as any of your physical Bustle tills.
Sync Your Menu: Update iPads to the latest version and sync the menu.
Printer Settings: Configure printers to handle online orders, receipts, and TablePay confirmations.
Settings on the iPad app:Head to Settings > Printers and select your first printer in the list (this is only needed on the first printer). The QR printer settings are near the bottom...
Prints Table Pay QR Docket - If you have TablePay switched on, this allows you to print off the QR code to give to your customers to view and pay their bill.
Prints Table Payment Confirmation - Prints for both Online ordering and TablePay tabs. When an order is paid, a small slip prints to tell your team an order has been received and paid, or a customer has paid their TablePay tab bill.
Prints Table Pay Receipt - Automatically prints a receipt for the customer after an online order is received or a TablePay tab bill is paid.
Step 5 - Go live with your online menu
When you are ready to go live with your menu, head to
Bustle Online > Activate Links ands QR.
Press the Activate Your Menu button.
And from here you can share your QR code and links everywhere...
And let that gorgeous menu shine...
Viewing your Bustle Pay Payouts
Now you're up and running and taking orders - If you want to see your recent earnings via your online menu, view the transactions or see what monies are coming to you - Hit the View Payouts button at the top of the page.
A couple of notes about going live
No one will see your menu yet - until you share it.
Changes to items - additions, deletions, price changes, positioning on menu - will all update automatically on your Online Menu.
New Sections added after going live will be switched off by default, giving you time to set everything up and enter your descriptions etc.
QR Code & Direct Links
Scan the QR code with your phone to review your live menu.
Use your direct link for social media and online promotions.
For website integration, follow the provided instructions or consult a web expert.
Troubleshooting
Bustle Online Orders delayed? Not printing immediately?
To receive an online order, your iPad needs to be awake and alert with the Bustle Till app open. Check your iPad Settings > Display & Brightness > Auto-Lock > and make sure it is set to Never.
Keep your Bustle Till (the one you set up to manage payments and printing) open on screen at all times during service.
If you have accounts with lots of assignments sitting on the iPad for long periods, things can start to slow down - like scanning QR codes or printing taking longer than usual.
To keep things running smoothly, regularly tidy up old Staff or Delivery accounts by using the Clear Balance button on the account pay screen. This removes the data from the iPad (but don’t worry - it’s still safely stored and viewable anytime in your Bustle Hub).
