An account handover means the Bustle setup, login, and all historical data stay in place, with ownership and billing details updated to reflect the new business owner.
We don't recommend this way of handover.
This handover can work, but it isn’t the cleanest option. We recommend this only when setting up a new account isn’t practical and everyone understands the trade-offs.
Please note:
It’s up to the outgoing owner to make sure all logins, payment details, and integrations are moved across before or on handover day.
If you have Xero integration set up, make sure it is disconnected.
If you have stripe accounts for BustleOnline or Regulr you will need to contact support to get them removed from the account at or before handover. The new owner will need to set them up again.
Double-check any account or voucher credits and debits, and make sure the new owner is aware of them.
When You’re Handing Over an Existing Bustle Account
Step 1: Confirm you want to transfer the account
Decide that the existing Bustle account (including all setup and historical data) will be passed to the new owner, rather than closed and replaced with a new account.
This decision should be agreed on by both the seller and the buyer.

Step 2: Contact the Bustle team
Let us know you’re planning a business handover so we can guide you through the process safely and avoid disruptions.

If your account includes Bustle Online or Regulr, please mention this upfront so we can ensure everything is handled correctly.
Step 3: Provide the required details
To complete the transfer, The new owner will need the following information to update within the account:
Contact details
Updated billing and credit card details
GST information
Apple Account details (if you are transferring iPads to them)
They will also need to set up new Stripe accounts if they will be using Bustle online or Regulr
Step 4: Note what stays the same
All existing data remains with the Bustle account, including:
Menu setup
Products and pricing
Historical sales data
Reports and configuration
From this point on, all data and setup will be managed by the new owner.

The new owner will be introduced to our Onboarding team, who will guide them through training, help with and help them get the most out of Bustle.
