Key Points

  • Refunds can only be processed on the day of transaction.

  • Once a cash up is performed you will no longer be able to refund the transaction in the Bustle iPad till app.

  • You are able to edit your actual records in the cash up on your Bustle Hub, but you may need to reference the variance reason in your financial system.

Detailed Steps

  • Once a Payment has been processed and Paid, you may need to refund an Item from that Bill.

  • Head to the Settings menu, go into History, and select Transactions.

  • Search for the transaction you need to refund, and select it. The details will appear on the right.

  • Press the Refund button on the bottom left.

  • The screen will offer you some set examples to note the reason for the refund, or you can manually enter a reason. This reason will appear later in the transaction history on the iPad.

  • The screen will now show you the original ordered items to the left. Select the item or items you need to refund so they appear on the right. Select to refund in cash or card.

  • Please note: If you wish to refund to a Card and your Eftpos Machine is integrated into Bustle you will need to use the Eftpos Refund Card that your Eftpos provider has supplied you.

  • Once you have selected the payment type, the screen will then return to the Transactions Screen, your transaction will be highlighted in red to indicate a Refund.

  • On your Bustle Hub, refund information can be found on your Sales Transaction Summary report.

  • And to see a further breakdown, you can view the Hospo Wastage Refunds report.

Troubleshooting

  • If you are unable to refund to card (due to not having the correct refund card from your payments provider) you can refund to cash as an alternative. Just be aware that you will be out by cash and card in your cash up - though the amounts should cancel each other out.
