What are accounts and vouchers?
If you haven't already, please check out this article to get the rundown on the accounts and vouchers "on the hub" basics.
But if you are already in the know... Let's go, and take a look at how you can manage Accounts and Vouchers from your Hub!
Creating Accounts and Vouchers
Need to create accounts and vouchers? - we've got you covered! At the top left of the page we have three options...
Let's go through them one by one.
✨ Create a New Account
Tap New Account to open the slide-out and fill in the details:
Name
Email
Account Type
Limit – the amount they can owe before the till gives you a heads-up.
Discount Rate
Notes
Got an opening balance to bring in? Maybe they paid you before you started using Bustle, or you're moving them over from another system - easy! Hit Add Opening Balance and enter either:
What they owe you (a debit), or
What they’ve prepaid (a credit)
Then hit Save, and you’re good to go. 🎉
🎁 Create a New Voucher
Use this when a customer has bought a pre-paid voucher outside of Bustle.
⚠️ Not for discount codes or promo coupons.
The setup’s similar to an account, but a bit simpler:
You can only credit a voucher (no debits).
Discounts and limits don’t apply.
Want to add an expiry date? Pop it in the Notes.
Import Accounts and Vouchers from a CSV File
To import accounts and vouchers from a file, press CSV Import. On the import page you will see a breakdown of all the available fields, with descriptions.
Click Download Template to get a CSV file ready to be filled in.
📥 Uploading Accounts or Vouchers via CSV
When you're ready to upload, hit Select CSV File, find it on your device, and click Open.
You’ll see a preview of all the accounts or vouchers before they go live. Any rows with errors will be clearly marked and won’t be saved until fixed.
You can save them one-by-one with the Save button on each row
Or hit Save X Customers to lock them all in at once
Want to start fresh? Tap Clear All - but note - anything you’ve already saved is safely in the system. 🧼💾
🚀 Ready to Go
Once you’ve created your accounts or vouchers - whether one by one, with a CSV upload, or via import - they’ll appear instantly on your iPads. No sync button, no waiting. Just ready when you are. 🧃✨
Editing Account or Voucher Information
To Edit any of the information on the account, select the account from your list and press the Edit Account button once open. Make any changes needed and press Save.
💸 Adjusting Balances on Accounts & Vouchers
Need to fix a payment or record one made outside of Bustle? No problem - you can add or remove value directly in the Bustle Hub.
You’ve got two options:
Clear Balance – wipes the slate clean and sets the balance to $0.
Adjust Balance – credit or debit the account by a specific amount.
Quick, easy, and back on track. 🧾✅
🧼 Clear Account Balance
To wipe out the Current Owing amount, hit Clear Account Balance.
A confirmation slide-out will pop up to show you exactly what’s about to happen.
From there, either Cancel or press Clear Balance Now to confirm and set the balance to $0. Clean slate, ready to roll. ✨
🔧 Adjust Balance
To update an account with a credit or debit, hit Adjust Balance.
Choose whether you’re:
Crediting - adding a payment
Debiting - charging more
Enter the amount, then hit Apply Credit/Debit Now to lock it in.
🧾 Invoicing Accounts
Sending an invoice is a breeze - just set up your Bustle Pay account and you’re one click away from getting paid.
For any account owing more than $100, you’ll see an Invoice Now button right on the row. You can also open the account and tap Create Invoice from there.

Archive Accounts
Accounts and Vouchers that have a Zero Total Owing can be archived from the Bustle Hub. Once they have nothing owing the Archive Account button will appear
🕵️♀️ All Changes Are Tracked
Everything you create or adjust for accounts in the Bustle Hub gets logged in the account breakdown, along with the name of the user who made the change. So you’ve always got a clear paper trail, no matter what’s been tweaked.
Keep your Hub account secure – Boss mode only 🛡️
This brings us to keeping it secure - If your iPad till is logged in to the Bustle Hub using the Boss account… you might wanna rethink that access. That gives staff access to powerful tools they shouldn’t be poking around in - and worse, anything they do gets logged under your name. Hard to trace. Impossible to track.
Keep the big-picture stuff safe:
✔️ Use a staff login on the iPad
✔️ Keep your Boss Hub login on a device only you can access

Troubleshooting
⚠️ Final Balance Doesn’t Match Outstanding Balance Total?
If the Final Balance at the top of your Accounts & Vouchers Summary doesn’t match the Outstanding Balance at the bottom, something got out of sync.
This can happen if a payment or assignment was made while the iPads weren’t fully synced. You’ll usually spot it as a previously settled account still showing an amount owing (like in the pic below).
