Want to send an invoice for a customer or corporate account in directly from your Bustle hub? You can with Bustle Pay! Here's how...
✅ Step 1 – Setting Up Bustle Pay
To start invoicing your accounts, you'll just need two things:
A Bustle Pay account set up in Stripe
Your TAX number in your Receipt Settings
Already using Bustle Pay for Bustle Online?
Perfect—you’re already set!
New to Bustle Pay?
No worries, it's straightforward! Head to your Bustle Hub, then go to Accounts > Invoices and click the Setup Bustle Pay Now button.
You'll use Stripe Express (super secure and easy!)
Have digital identification and your bank account number ready.
Allow around 15-30 minutes - then you're sorted for good!
📩 Step 2 – Send Invoices to Your Customers
You've likely got accounts ready to pay - let's turn those open balances into cash!
🟢 Creating Your Invoice
Find the account under Accounts > Active Accounts.
Click Create Invoice on the Current Owing balance.
(Note: You can only invoice the full owing amount.)
📝 Customise and Check Invoice Details
The invoice screen opens - here's your quick checklist:
Check Invoice details: Ensure they're correct and clear.
Additional Comments:
Add your customer’s Billed-To address or any necessary info here.
Check local invoice requirements if you're unsure.
Verify Customer Email:
Double-check the email is correct (edit it via the iPad app before sending, if needed).Invoice Summary:
Customers will receive an itemised summary.
Customise this to your brand by setting your branding here.

Happy with everything?
Press Create Invoice (remember, once sent, you can't edit the invoice).
💳 Invoice Processing Fees
Invoices paid online (CNP/card-not-present transactions) have processing fees:
4.9% per transaction
Reduced to 2.9% + 30c for transactions under $20
Example: On a $221.40 invoice, a $10.85 fee is deducted, leaving you with $210.55.
📢 Would You Prefer to Pass Fees to Customers?
Let us know via the messenger if you want to automatic adding of fees onto the customer's invoice (the more we hear this feedback the faster we can make it happen).
🕑 Invoice Draft Stage (1 Hour Window)
When created, your invoice is drafted and will automatically send after 1 hour.
In this hour, you can still delete the invoice - but note, deletion is permanent and you would have to retrieve payment outside of Bustle.
📧 Invoice Sent & Status Management
After an hour, your customer receives their invoice via email. Most times, payment follows quickly (yay!), but here’s what else you can do should you need to:
Mark as Paid – When payments are made outside of Bustle after invoice is sent.
Void – Clear the invoice if you're wiping the debt.
Mark as Uncollectible – For invoices you simply can't collect on (it happens!).
Just click Change Status to perform these actions easily.
Then select and confirm the option you want to perform.
🎉 Customer Pays & Downloads Receipt
After paying, your customer can easily download their invoice and itemised summary directly from their email. Sweet!

📈 Step 3 – Reviewing Invoices & Payments
Track everything clearly in your Bustle Hub:
See invoice statuses, totals, and individual invoices on the new Invoices page.
Sort and filter invoices easily.
Click invoices for detailed information.
💰 Viewing Payments
To view your invoice payments:
Go to Bustle Online
Click Get Payments and Orders → View Payouts
You’ll see a portal to your Stripe Express account, covering payments from both invoicing and Bustle Online.
