Refunds

  • Refunds aren’t yet supported through integration, but no worries - it's a quick two-step process.

Step 1 – Process the Refund on the Zeller Terminal

  • First, take care of the customer by processing their refund directly on the Zeller Terminal. You can find the step-by-step guide here - it’s fast and simple.

Step 2 - Reverse the payment in Bustle

  • To keep your cash-up accurate, make sure to record the refund in Bustle.

    When applying the refund:

    • Press and hold the Card button for a second until a pop-up appears.

    • Tap Confirm - this will bypass the terminal and mark the refund as processed in Bustle. And that’s it! All sorted.


Cash ups - End of day process 💰

  • When service wraps up, it’s time to cash up your tills. For the Cards section of the cash up, run the Sales report on your Zeller terminal. Take the Subtotal (takings minus any fees) from the bottom of the report and enter it into Bustle under Eftpos.

  • Simple, quick, and keeps everything balanced - just how we like it! ✅


Troubleshooting

Having trouble processing payments through Bustle and Zeller? Here’s how to troubleshoot:

1️⃣ Check Your Internet Connection

  • Ensure your iPad is connected to the correct Wi-Fi network.

  • Test the connection by opening a website like bbc.com.

2️⃣ Restart Your Devices

  • Reboot both your iPad and the Zeller terminal, then try again.

3️⃣ Check Terminal Mode

  • If you see the error "Terminal is not ready", make sure your terminal is set to POS mode.

  • You can check this from the Take Payment screen > Mode.

Having ongoing intermittent issues with connecting Bustle to Zeller?

The Eftpos button has disappeared

  • Is the Eftpos button no longer there? Click here to resolve.

Eftpos transactions successful but Bustle doesn't close it off?

  • Is your terminal not sending the information back to Bustle? Click here.

My Zeller Sales Report doesn't reconcile with my cash up

  • Check with your Zeller what your cutover times are and make sure they match your trading hours.

  • Are your team putting through manual transactions that aren't recorded in Bustle? This will cause a variance if transactions are made when not in POS mode.
