Running a hospitality venue can be chaos - and when margins are tight, that chaos can cost you. Let’s set a clear direction, so you can stop guessing and start growing.

The Bustle Goals tool doesn’t tell you how you're doing - it helps you aim higher.
You choose your profit goal and margin, and we’ll map out what your weekly turnover needs to be if you’re hitting that margin. It’s your dream, broken into shifts.

So, what do we mean by profit?

After a year of hard graft, profit is the dollar (or pound) amount you’d like to keep after everything else is paid - rent, wages, stock, bills… and yes, your own pay too.

This isn’t just the leftover change - it’s the reward for all your hustle.

We start with a blank slate...

Right now, you’ll see your turnover and number of orders recorded daily, but with it like this, it’s just numbers without a goal to aim for.
Hit that Set My Goals button, spend a few minutes planning, and turn those numbers into something worth chasing.

Now let's set those goals!

Located under the settings menu is the goals page. It should only take a few minutes to set up. Here's how.

  1. Set your profit goal for the year. Not sure where to start? Try $20k–$50k for a busy café (or £8k–£20k in the UK). You can always tweak it later - but if you’re really stuck check out some examples in this article.

  2. Set your Profit margin % A realistic goal here is 5%.

  3. Once entered, your Weekly turnover and profit will appear.

  4. Spend a few minutes entering in your daily targets based on the weekly turnover number you just calculated (and how you know your business works day to day). If you don't trade on a day, enter 0. Below the daily entry fields you will see what amount remains to attribute across your days.

  5. We then set a stretch goal (below that) for you automatically - daily goals + 10%. Want to change that? Go for it - the fields are editable.

  6. Finally, once you're happy, press that Set Your Goals button at the bottom.

And now you're Ready to Roll! If you need to make a tweak, press that Reset My Goals button

And try to Smash Them!

Now for where the magic happens!

Your graph fills, your emojis get excited, and if you hit your target, we’ll throw a little digital party.
Really smashing it? You’ll see just how hyped we get for you...

Things to note / Troubleshooting

  • You’re setting your desired profit and target margin - the turnover we show is what you’ll need if you hit that margin. It’s a planning tool, not a reflection of actual performance.

  • The number of orders left to reach your goal is always changing.
It’s based on your average order value - so if your orders are bigger than usual, you'll need fewer to hit your target. If they’re smaller, you might need a few more. It updates live as you go.

  • If you change your yearly Profit Goal or Margin % - you do need to revise your daily numbers. Check that amount short or amount over number under the daily targets and attribute, or remove what you need to.
