The Bustle Dashboard

The Bustle dashboard gives you real-time insights into your business operations, accessible from any device, anywhere, at any time. With our flexible stats, you can customise your view - add, move, and arrange the data that matters most to you. Reports update in real-time, so you can keep a close eye on performance and make informed decisions fast.

How to Adjust your Dashboard Layout

Your dashboard, your rules. The Bustle dashboard comes pre-loaded with key stat blocks, but you’re in control - rearrange, add, or remove them to create a layout that works best for you.

Hit the Adjust Your Layout button to enter edit mode.

From there, you can:

Rearrange Stats

Drag and drop stat blocks into place. Move a block in front of another until you see a blue line, then release - easy as that.

Remove Stat Blocks

Don’t need a stat? Click the bin icon in the top right of the block to remove it.

Re-size Stat Blocks

Some stats can be resized to fit your layout better. If a block has a blue double-sided arrow next to the bin icon, click it to expand or shrink.

Add More Stats

Need more insights? Scroll to the bottom of the dashboard in Adjust mode until you see Add to Your Dashboard. Click on any stat blocks you want back, then hit Done to save your setup.

What do the Stat Blocks on the dashboard display

Progress for today

The top section of the dashboard displays the latest information on what's happening right now in your business.

Displayed here is a snapshot of your day so far, showing how you’re tracking against your target (based on the average of the last three weeks - e.g. your last 3 Thursdays). It also shows when your last order was taken and the total number of orders for the day so far..

Order Reminders

This lets you know which orders are due today and makes it easy to place them with your suppliers - with a little fun at the finish line. Check out how to set them up here.

The Rest of the Dashboard

Below the top section there are a number of stat blocks you can run to display more than just today's totals. Use the date picker to select the date range.

Let's break them down...

Orders

Please note that Wastage is not included in the Orders section of the dashboard. This ensures that the "orders" you place for wastage on the till are no counted in your order counts and values. Wastage has not been removed from other reports on the site.

Total Value of Orders

This stat shows every item and mod with a sales price that's been ordered through Bustle.

Average Order Value

This displays the mean (average) order value of all orders in the time period selected.

Order Count

The count of orders made through Bustle in the time period selected.

Cover Count

This displays the amount of covers entered into the system using our Table Layout functionality. Quick sales are not calculated in this number - only tabled guests.

Sales

The Sales stat displays what you are expecting to bank at the end of the day. This figure takes into account discounts, Items put to wastage or hospo, refunds as well as any account assignments and payments. The total is displayed followed by the cash/card breakdown expected.
Please note: If you have integrated tipping and surcharge - these will add to the cash and card totals.

Regulr Overview

The Regulr overview stat block shows how many Regulr orders have arrived and been accepted on the Bustle iPad app as well as the total value of those orders. These orders are assigned to accounts but not calculated in the cash/card Sales graph. For payment information on Regulr orders, please refer to the sales transaction summary report under Reports.

Bustle Online Payments Overview

This stat block shows the total value of payments made through your online menu, along with the number of online orders taken. These are separate from your Cash & Card sales in Bustle, but any online orders will still update your total order value.

Order Value by Hour

This graph shows the value of orders placed through Bustle, divided into hourly columns. Perfect for analysing your busy and quiet periods over time and making decisions on staffing.

Category Breakdown By Value

This pie-chart shows you the value of and percentage of sales for each of your categories - Coffee, Food, Alcoholic, Non-alcoholic, Retail, Other and Uncategorised.

Top Items By Quantity

This graph shows your top 5 sellers rated by how many items are sold. For more information on your top sellers and low/no sellers, head to theCustom Reports in the Reports area.

This graph shows your top 5 items sold by quantity, as a percentage of everything sold. All items not in the top 5 will be grouped as "Other". This doesn't mean they are not categorised - this report is showing your top 5 items and how many of them you sell (what percentage of the pie) against all your other items.

We're often asked this question...

Why is there a difference between the Orders total and Sales total on the dashboard?

In short, Sales (cash and card totals) shows what's been sold and paid for. Orders shows the full value of every item and mod with a sales price that's been ordered through Bustle. This total includes the value of any discounts and hospo (comps) applied (but not wastage). Sales totals remove account discounts, Items put to wastage or hospo, refunds as well as any account assignments as no cash or card payment has been taken.
