Can I reverse an assignment or credit made on an account?

How can you deal with mistakes made on accounts?

Assigned a tab to the wrong account? Credited the wrong amount? Don’t stress - here’s how to clean things up.

🔁 Fixing a Tab Assigned to the Wrong Account

You can’t remove the assignment entirely (the items will still show on the original account), but you can correct the numbers using Adjust Balance in the Bustle Hub.

Step-by-step:

  1. Head to the incorrect account in the Bustle Hub.

  2. Click Adjust Balance.

  3. Enter the value you need to remove.

Another way to do this is to do a partial payment and use Clear balance.

Open the account on the Bustle Till app (Settings > Accounts & Vouchers). Press the Pay Account button. Press Partial and key in the amount in error, then press the Clear Balance button.

These fixes update the account’s balance but don't remove the listed items that have been assigned.

What next?

  • You will likely want those items to show on the correct account:

    • Re-create the tab and assign it properly.

    • Or adjust the balance on the correct account too - but note: those items won’t appear on the account or printed summary.


💸 Fixing an Incorrect Credit (Over or Under)

If you’ve added the wrong credit amount to an account use Adjust Balance to fix it:

  1. Open the account in the Bustle Hub.

  2. Click Adjust Balance.

  3. Add or subtract the value to correct the total.

A Few Quick Notes:

  • Adjust Balance changes the financial total, not the itemised list.

  • If you want the record to reflect actual items sold, you'll need to reassign them manually.

  • Adjusting Balance doesn’t impact stock levels.
