Staff Members (Emoji Staff Logins) - Initial Setup

Adding Staff Members in Bustle keeps service running smoothly and makes it easy to track who’s doing what - whether it’s taking orders, processing payments, or voids and refunds. And with logins powered by a fun three-emoji combo, your team gets a secure and speedy way to sign in. Plus, built-in wage cost fields help you keep an eye on staffing costs right from the Bustle Hub.

Setting Up

  • Head to your Bustle Hub and go to Setup > Staff Members.

  • Your main account login is already set up with a three-emoji pin.

  • Use the Enable Staff Logins button to toggle this feature on or off (also needs a Sync Menu on the till).

  • Click New Staff Member to:

    • Enter their first & last name.

    • Enable Till Access for staff members using the Bustle Till.

    • Select three fun emojis for their login.

    • Fill in wage cost fields (optional but VERY handy for reporting!).

  • For security, keep this page away from prying eyes.

Syncing to Your iPad

Once your team is set up, grab the iPad(s) and complete the setup:

  1. Open the Bustle till app.

  2. Go to Settings.

  3. Press Sync Menu.

A login screen will now appear, ready for staff to use their emoji pins.


Using Staff Logins

  • Staff simply tap or swipe their three emojis to log in. The emoji login screen automatically locks after every transaction or action, and after 60 seconds of inactivity.

  • Once an order or transaction is completed, the staff member’s initials will appear in history next to their actions. Tap on the initials to reveal the full name.

  • You’ll also see their name on:
    ✅ Order dockets
    ✅ Cash-ups
    ✅ The History screen in your Bustle Hub
